Privacy policy
Last updated 14 October 2026. This explains what information MaidStar Cleaning collects through this website and what we do with it.
What we collect
- Estimate requests: your first name, phone number, email address, details about your home (bedrooms, bathrooms, postal code), the service you are interested in, how often you would like cleaning, your preferred date, any notes you add, and whether you agreed to receive texts from us.
- Job applications: your name, contact details, availability and anything you choose to tell us.
- How you found us: the ad, post, link or website that brought you here, the page you first landed on and the date of your first visit. If you tell us how you heard about us, we record that too.
How we use it
We use your information to prepare your estimate, contact you about it, schedule and carry out your cleaning, and review job applications. We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not add you to a marketing list without your agreement.
Who we share it with
Only the companies that help us operate, such as our website host and the tools we use to schedule visits and send invoices. They may only use your information to provide that service to us. Meta and Google also receive information about your visit through the analytics and advertising tools described under Cookies and tracking.
Where it is stored
Our website host and some of the tools we use are based outside Canada, so your information may be stored and processed in other countries, including the United States. While it is there, it may be accessible to courts and authorities in those countries under their laws.
How we protect it
Form submissions travel over an encrypted connection. Only the people at MaidStar who need your information to do their job can see it.
Payment details
We never store full card numbers. If a card is kept on file, only the last four digits are recorded.
Cookies and tracking
This website uses Google Analytics and two advertising tools: the Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram) and the Google Ads tag. They load from Meta and Google, set cookies in your browser, and receive information about your visit, such as the pages you view, whether you tap our phone number or email address, and whether you send an estimate request. We use Google Analytics to understand how people use this site. We use them to measure our advertising and to show our ads to people who may be interested.
You can limit this in your browser settings, in your ad preferences on Facebook and Instagram, and in Google's My Ad Center. We also keep a short note in your browser, for up to 90 days, of how you first found us and the most recent ad or link you followed: the name of the ad or campaign, the page you landed on and the website you came from. It is sent with your form so we know which of our advertising works. If we add other analytics or advertising tools, we will update this page first.
How long we keep it
We keep your information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as the law requires.
Your choices
Under Canadian privacy law you can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected, or withdraw your consent and have it deleted.
To see, correct or delete your information, email us at hello@maidstar.ca, ask us when we call, or reply to any message we send you.
Questions or concerns
MaidStar Cleaning is responsible for the personal information we collect. Questions or concerns about this policy can be sent to our privacy contact at hello@maidstar.ca. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
